RONALD WITT- BUSINESS MANAGER

Ronald Witt is a 35-year member of Local 450 and has served as an officer for the past 11 years.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corp. and a tour of duty in Viet Nam he joined Local 450 as an oiler and later became a heavy equipment operator.

Hired as an organizer in 1989, and became a Business Representative in 1990. He has served as Trustee, Recording/Corresponding Secretary and also serves as Recording Secretary of Houston Gulf Coast Area Building & Trades Council and is a delegate of the Galveston County AFL-CIO.

Ronald Witt has completed several courses in Grievance and Arbitration, Labor Law, Parliamentary Procedure and union related subjects at the George Meany Center Institute in Silver Springs, Maryland; The Mine Academy in Beckley, West Virginia; Rancho Murieta Business Agent Training in California and graduated from Harvard University’s Trade Union Program.

CHARLES REEVES –PRESIDENT

After a tour of Vietnam and an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army Charles Reeves became a member of Local 450 in July 1962 and has worked for the Local in many areas. Charles was a Business Representative for Districts 4,5, & 6 and has held the office of Financial Secretary. Charles comes from a very strong Union family dating back to the beginning of Local 450.

Anita Witt has been an active member of Local 450 since 1978 when she started her apprenticeship and later became an operator. Anita has served the Local in many capacities including serving as a Trustee and later working directly for the Local as a secretary. She has taken several union related courses at the George Meany Center in Silver Springs, Maryland, the Mine Academy in Beckley, West Virginia and also Texas A & M.

Anita is currently the Financial Secretary for Local 450 and has taken on the task of being Administrative Manager of the Apprentice Program while also serving as Secretary-Treasurer of the Apprentice Training Association of Texas.

Kenneth Moore is a member of Local 450 and works out of the District 2 office as a heavy equipment operator. Kenneth has been a member of the Local for 28 years and is currently serving the Local as recording corresponding secretary.

CARLO BALLARD - VICE PRESIDENT & BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE
DISTRICT 3 (GOLDEN TRIANGLE AREA)

Carlo Ballard has been an active member of Local 450 since February of 1976, and has worked both on the pipeline and building and trades as a heavy equipment operator. Carlo and his wife Yvette live in Kirbyville, TX and enjoy traveling and weekend getaways. Carlo accepted the responsibility of serving as Business Representative for District 3 in April, 2000 and has done a fine job for Local 450 and the members in his district.
